Community Cricket & Refugee Support
At Project Front Foot, cricket is more than just a game — it is a way to build confidence, friendships, education, and opportunity. Since 2009, our project has supported disadvantaged children, young people, and refugee communities through access to sport, coaching, and essential cricket equipment.
From the streets of Dharavi in Mumbai to refugee clubs across Europe, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, learn, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.
Supporting Young Cricketers
Our work began in Mumbai, where we established coaching programs, training sessions, and competitive matches for children living in challenging social and economic conditions. Through partnerships with schools, community organisations, and volunteers, thousands of young players have been introduced to cricket and the values it teaches — teamwork, discipline, respect, and determination.
The project has also provided cricket kits, bats, balls, wicket sets, clothing, and sports equipment to schools, orphanages, hospitals, and village communities. By recycling donated cricket gear from clubs and supporters around the world, we help ensure that usable equipment reaches those who need it most.
Refugee Cricket Development
In recent years, Project Front Foot has expanded its focus to support refugee cricketers across Germany, France, Portugal, Lebanon, and the United Kingdom. Many refugee players arrive with little or no sporting equipment, yet sport often becomes an important part of rebuilding community connections and confidence in a new country.
Our refugee support programme supplies clubs and community groups with cricket clothing, footwear, training equipment, and match kits. We work alongside volunteers, local coaches, and integration projects that use sport to encourage inclusion and positive social development.
How Donations Make a Difference
Every donated item helps create new opportunities for players and communities. Equipment that may no longer be used by one club can become essential for another team beginning its cricket journey.
Donations support:
Cricket bats, balls, pads, gloves, and wicket sets
Team clothing and training wear
Junior coaching sessions
Community tournaments and matches
Refugee and youth integration through sport
Transport and distribution of equipment across Europe
Join the Project
Project Front Foot continues to grow thanks to the generosity of cricket clubs, schools, volunteers, and supporters. Whether through equipment donations, fundraising, sponsorship, or volunteering, every contribution helps us bring cricket to communities where access to sport can genuinely change lives.
Together, we can continue using cricket as a tool for education, inclusion, and opportunity for young people around the world.
